While no one was looking I changed the look of our site. What do you think?  Will people think the only thing we grow is beets?

Obviously you care about food or you wouldn’t be poking around here. Thank you for caring about food – where it comes from and how it is produced. There are many more folks who don’t have a clue – they have been programmed to think that if it’s in the store it must be ok…And certainly all of those choices are astounding!  But guess what? This programming has to stop! People need to start thinking for themselves. There is plenty of reading and evidence to refute the brainwashing. Ian and I just finished reading Folks This Aint Normal, A Farmer’s Advice for Happier Hens, Healthier People, and a Better World by Joel Salatin. This is excellent reading! Forget his political views – we already know he wouldn’t have joined us at the Obama rally.

Here is another great article I just read in our Local Banquet  magazine. We are definitely ahead in Vermont but there is so much more educating that needs to happen.

And finally, take a moment to read this little ditty by Michael Pollen, Food Rules. You should buy this book, read it, and pass it on to someone you care about.
