It started with a dream, a rock outcropping, and a guy willing to envision what could happen on that rock. Meet the rock. Meet Duffy Gardner. The rock has always been here. Duffy showed up sometime in late June. He dug around the rock a bit more to expose more of its glory. OK. Enough about the rock. What can you build on a rock? What would it have to do with growing vegetables? Yes, Duffy is a good-looking guy…was he there just for my amusement? Ah, something is starting to take shape! It looks like Duffy is reaching into a bag of tricks. Between that bag of tricks and that canopy I hope we didn’t hire a right-winger! So, it looks like he is building a stone foundation. Well that makes sense given our name of ‘Field Stone Farm”. Gawd! Are we paying for this? Um. It looks a little better from this side. But what is it? OK. Now it’s making sense…NOT! But I do like the gloves and the hat! Wow. I’m thinking some kind of Zen garden… on a box..on a rock…Duffy Gardner is really Dr Seuss! Wait a minute! Brick? Mortar? I’m still stumped! Hey man. I’m digging it. Whatever it is! OK. Even I know what this is shaping up to be. Yes Duffy. You fooled me. It’s an outdoor wood-fired oven. And it’s beautiful.
